Aims and Objectives

The development and well-being of your child is of the utmost importance.

Equal opportunities within our Nursery are positively encouraged. The provision of care and activities provided in our Nursery reflect this, regardless of race, culture, nationality or religion.

Outdoor Area; ABC Day Nursery, Boston.

Children at ABC have access to enclosed play areas with lots of stimulating activities, such as ride on toys, climbing and balancing equipment, sand and water and many more. The children have lots of fresh air throughout the day and they often go for walks to the local park.

We are committed to updating our knowledge through training and interactions with parents & carers of the children in our care.

We aim to provide a secure environment which is free from inequality and discrimination in order for the children to develop a positive identity and feel valued.

The Nursery aims to encourage self discipline in the children and develop their consideration for each other, their surroundings and property. We hope to ensure that the children feel valued and respected.

ABC Day Nursery aims to provide an inclusive learning environment for all children. We aim to have regard to the DfES Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs.

At ABC we are committed to providing opportunities for staff development. We aim to provide regular training in areas chosen by the staff member. Time is taken to ensure that all staff have the chance to choose their own pathway.

Policies

Below are some samples of certain policies, if you would like a copy of all policies, please contact us.

Behaviour Management
We aim to encourage self-discipline in the children and develop their consideration for each other, their surroundings and property, by praising them and acknowledging their positive actions and attitudes. In this way we hope to ensure that the children see that we value and respect them.

Child Protection
As a day care establishment, we have a responsibility for the children in our care and may be the first people to notice signs of abuse. Most of our staff have completed a course in child protection and, as with all our members of staff, are here to listen to any concerns you may have regarding a child.
